sal khan from khan academy

In my opinion, Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org) is quite possibly the most important advance in the field of education over the last 10 years… maybe even more. Just like Wikipedia made all world information available for free to the readers in over 200 languages, Khan Academy is providing free education in the form of videos and tutorials on subjects from basic math to healthcare and biology. Frankly, I can’t wait for my son to be old enough to start showing him this stuff.

I was absolutely fascinated by this video and I would like to share it with you. Not only are Khan Academy coaches trying to provide education to hundreds of millions of kids worldwide, but they are also investing a lot of time and effort in learning and experimenting with what methods of education delivery make a difference in a student’s learning.

In this video, one of Khan’s analysts explains how slogans on the pages contribute to 5% increase in problems attempted, proficiencies earned, and return visits to the site.
